Bentone is a special type of clay derived from bentonite and is widely used in ceramics to improve the production process.

It is used to:

Keeping the mixture uniform: It helps to keep the glaze or engobe well mixed, preventing it from settling on the bottom.

Controlling the consistency of the mixture: Bentone regulates the thickness (or viscosity) of the glaze, making them easier to use.

It should be used between 0.5 and 1%
